My name is Lisa and I’m the proud creator of The Life Edits.

Some would say my journey is nothing extraordinary and I tend to agree, and the Life Edits isn’t specifically about my journey, but about how we navigate our journeys.  I tend to use humour to deal with life as it allows me to continually giggle even when I’m struggling….. Yes, I do struggle just like everyone else!

I created The Life Edits to help me with work life balance as I was finding it difficult to find my balance.  Sometimes I need reminding that its perfectly acceptable to have “my time” and use it to do something that makes me feel great.

Also, like many of you out there, my close circle of friends have walked my life with me and vice versa.  We have laughed and cried, shared pretty much all our secrets, woes and aspirations together and we have a lot to say on many subjects!  This website is very much a contribution from them as well as me.  I would not have half the content if it were not for this fabulous group of women.  

How many labels have I earned through the Edits?  Many!  I’m a fifty something Mother, Sister, Daughter, Wife/Ex Wife, Friend, Professional woman working in a predominantly male industry, as well as Expat.  I certainly have a few stories that are worthy of laughing at as well as some that have been catalysts in determining my path.

Regrets?  Hell of course, but I don’t unpack them and live with them.  I don’t let them linger.

Here’s the rub….  If you don’t do anything, then you can’t fail or succeed, merely exist.   Regrets can be the greatest of all learning curves!     So, my advice is to get out there and grab your next Edit!

I’m going to do my best to be my authentic self with The Life Edits journey, and if you are easily offended, perhaps don’t subscribe!

I pledge to you that I’ll do my best to use real experiences but not to the detriment of others, create content from real friends and use real photos (God Help Us All) taken by myself or friends, but I will divert to stock photos if it’s just not feasible.
